How the game was developed

In 2014, Gearbox Software announced its intention to renew the franchise. The concept of the game at that time had not yet been formed. At the beginning of 2015, the developers opened a recruitment for software preparation, after a couple of years, quite a lot of technical developments appeared, it was decided to create the game on Unreal Engine 4. In order to get good quality software, almost the entire staff of employees employed in offices located in Quebec and Texas. To work on the game, experts such as Mike Neumann, a screenwriter (he was forced to leave the project due to deteriorating health in 2017) and Scott Kester were invited , who previously worked on the game as an art director.

In the spring of 2019, Borderlands 3 was officially announced at the presentation. On April 1, the developers announced that the release is scheduled for September 13. For personal computers, the software was initially distributed online, using the Epic Games Store service. The shooter was released on Steam on March 14, 2020, and went into circulation at the end of summer 2019.

Gameplay
