The game was announced on 04/21/2011 and released on 05/31/2012. After several years, in July 2015, the game has grown to ten million users worldwide.

Tournaments. Thanks to the ESL esports league, the game is always actively supported. Already in the closed beta version of the Smite game, several tournaments were held on the proposed site with a real fund of money. In January 2015, the company held a tournament with a cash prize pool of 2, 6 million dollars.

Gods. Each player has control over their god-hero with three basic abilities, one ultimate and one passive. At their choice, the heroes choose and acquire up to 6 passive items, thanks to which they receive a buff, as well as up to 2 items of an active ability, they also have useful properties, i.e. they can teleport, heal and much more, but the downside is that they recover for a long time, but do not need mana, unlike the main ability.

All players are offered 111 heroes / gods from the 12 mythological pantheons presented: Greek, Roman, Chinese, Japanese, Hindu, Celtic, Scandinavian, Slavic, Mayan, Egyptian, Polynesian, Voodoo. At the initial stage, only 5 gods are opened, and the rest of the gods can only be opened for Favor, i.e. disposition or favor is a set of points that will be awarded after each completed match. Also, the game cannot do without the game "Roulette", which new players can get into once every two or three weeks. And if you want one or another character, then in any case you have to buy it.
