The video game took seven years to make!
The model is one of The Elder Scrolls episodes. The entire line of the game takes place on the island of Tamriel on a planet called Nirn. The action takes place a thousand years before the times presented in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Then there was the so-called "Interregnum": ten races that live on the continent were divided into 3 alliances, and the goal of each of these groups is to gain power over the center of Cyrodiil. Simultaneously with this struggle, the Daedric Prince attempts to unite his dimension Coldharbour and the planet, while becoming the ruler of Nirn.
Reviews were mixed, but we can definitely say that the ratings have gone up a lot since the rebranding and redesign of the game, which is called The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited.
ESO is designed in the style of an MMORPG. The process can be configured both from the first and from the third person. At the beginning, you will be asked to set up your own player. The user independently decides to which race his character will belong, class, name, appearance, gender, and so on. The alliance is selected based on the selected race. Only 9 races are spun into 3 factions.
The next step is the game. After some insertion, the user enters directly into the game environment, the landscape of which is divided into several places.
PvE content is a list of quests, obstacles , and activities that take place in the public world. The base has a main line along which the character moves, as well as a number of additional tasks.
The main events are focused on a single user, but additional events may well be performed with friends and acquaintances.
Some decisions affect the course of the game, tasks and the prize for completing them also change.
There are three types of underground places: single, public and group. Solo dungeons are originally designed for solo playthrough, but passing with friends is not forbidden. Public ones are designed for 2 or more users, you cannot go through them alone. Group games require a team where two players are fighters, one acts as a "tank", and the last one is a doctor for the whole team. The number of players is four.
The location for four clients is divided into two groups: regular and for more experienced players. For "veteran" users are selected with a high health rating and the amount of damage that they can cause to enemy individuals.
Trials are tasks assigned to twelve players. Who plays what role is up to the users to decide. Such tasks also have two versions: for more experienced and ordinary players.
In addition to such "campaigns", the game provides the improvement of master skills. The world provides for seven professions, and skill lines "grow" from them.
Any representative of any job can go fishing.
You can also have your own property in this version of the game, although there are also group tasks. The user is able to purchase one house, which is presented in the assortment of the game.
There are also several organizations you can join: the Thieves Guild, the Fighters Guild, and other factions. It is possible to create a guild yourself.
PvP content is Combat, Battlegrounds, and Alliance Wars. For a duel, each user can call a random client from different locations, not taking into account the Battlefield and the province of Cyrodiil. Three groups of four players each take part in the Battlegrounds. The winners are those who scored the most points for completing any specified task.
The Alliance War process takes place in the province of Cyrodiil, in which three different alliances take part, which are at enmity with each other. The goal of such a struggle is to score the highest number of points for the specified period (and the time may be different, it all depends on the campaign that was chosen).
Points are earned based on the number of strongholds conquered and certain resources and materials. The user who was able to show the best results in the form of capturing the six main fortresses of Cyrodiil receives a reward in the form of the status of the Emperor of Tamriel, as well as a branch of the Emperor's skills.
If the faction loses control over the fortresses, the user loses the previously acquired title and skill line.
When capturing the nearby fortresses of an enemy alliance, players are given the opportunity to take the Elder Scrolls of the enemy for themselves. Initially all factions have two of these scrolls, which provide a variety of benefits to alliance users in the campaign.
At the end of the campaign, each client who played well receives some prizes as a reward, and the characters of the user of the won alliance receive side rewards.
The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) is an MMORPG-style video game. This game was developed by ZeniMax Online Studios, although it was eventually published by Bethesda Softworks. The announcement of ESO happened in 2012, but the release for Windows PC and MACOS was only two years later, and for the PS4 and XBOX game consoles the game became available only in 2015.
